This committee may have specific committees under it and would have a liaison to the Finance committee.
A planning committee is needed. While it is the function of the whole Parish Council to plan, given both the need for on-going parish planning and planning within the cluster, it is helpful to have a committee that oversees all aspects of planning and coordinates the planning efforts of the other committees, if desired. This committee would take the place of the current “implementation team.”
Ad hoc Committees are temporary committees formed to complete a specific task within an established time frame. They disband when the task is finished. For instance, the Council may form an ad hoc committee to plan for the 100th anniversary of the parish, or the renovation of the Church or a capital campaign.
